Children of a Lesser God review

Posted : 11 years, 10 months ago on 2 June 2012 02:53 (A review of Children of a Lesser God)

The film starts off interestingly, and advances quickly, but flounders in the middle, and ends happily, but uninterestingly. The ambience of the small town is vivdly captured. But with hollywood happy ending, it stops the exploration of complicated lives of the children of a lesser good. William Hurt and Marlee Matlin have done excellent work.

Blood review

Posted : 12 years, 3 months ago on 3 January 2012 03:30 (A review of Blood)

It's a drama adapted to the screen! Damning, sick relation ships of a brother and sister frequently intertwining are examined in detail.
It's mature, slick, interesting, incestuous, sexy and pretty good!

Do watch it!

Posted : 14 years, 10 months ago on 28 May 2009 08:48 (A review of Géminis)

Geminis is a haunting love story of a brother and a sister. The relationship grows from general companionship to physical love. The pain of forbidden love is shown without making it crude or unempathetic. The movie is amazingly good and is a must-watch.

Early Edition review

Posted : 16 years, 1 month ago on 1 March 2008 03:15 (A review of Early Edition)

What will you do if you get tomorrow's paper today?
Revolving around this simple concept this charming and lovable series has Gary Hobson trying to change the world in his own little. What attracted me was this changing of the world for better concept not through averting the course of a meteor or something

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind review

Posted : 16 years, 1 month ago on 24 February 2008 07:19 (A review of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind)

One of the best love stories ever. The movie is pure Charlie Kaufman.
Jim Carrey's sudden departure from his comic face is as shocking as it is brilliant. Clementine is eternally lovable. After this movie, you will start believe in the cliched concept of love again. A must-have collectible

The Science of Sleep review

Posted : 16 years, 1 month ago on 24 February 2008 07:14 (A review of The Science of Sleep)

Talk about a different love story!
Science of Sleep is about love through dreams. Very funny. Another film from the guy who made Eternal Sunshine. But the movie is only self-indulgent. The actors are all above par.The plot is loose. The art direction is BRILLIANT.
It lacks the depth of Eternal Sunshine. But I forgot that was Charlie Kaufman

Lust, Caution review

Posted : 16 years, 2 months ago on 19 February 2008 08:26 (A review of Lust, Caution)

This is one of the best chinese I have ever seen. It is unbelievably good.
The plot is good. The settings are nice.
But the actors... they are so good.
Tony Leung and Tang Wei really takes our breath away.
For the many thousands who believe Chinese movies are all about martial arts this can be a great antidote.
Don't miss this movie for anything.

Baburu e go!! Taimu mashin wa doramu-shi

Posted : 16 years, 2 months ago on 19 February 2008 10:26 (A review of Bubble Fiction: Boom or Bust)

This is a funny time-travel movie. Really cool and really funny.
The girl, as typical of many Japanese girls, is very cute. And the guy is so handsome. The movie is quite hilarious and the time -travel aspect is well done.
It is total cool movie.

Always san-chôme no yûhi

Posted : 16 years, 2 months ago on 19 February 2008 10:17 (A review of Always - Sunset on Third Street)

This is a breath-taking movie. A film adaptation of a 14 volume comic book series, Always stays true source to its comic source even in its presentation.
The camera work is brilliant, the fun is hilarious, the emotions are touching and the movie is simply a classic. Depicting the post war period of Japan where technology, life, ambitions, parenting, love, hope all comes together to paint an eternal portrait of hope.
Amazing watch.

a small review

Posted : 16 years, 2 months ago on 10 February 2008 06:21 (A review of The Story of Adele H.)

A slow, moving tragic tale of a young woman's unrequited love and fall into madness.
The pace is slow and the tragedy
is horrifying.
Adjani as the obsessed lover is picture perfect.
Oh yes, the woman is the daughter of Victor Hugo and it is her real life story.
